Last December I met with Shun on a Wednesday afternoon to shoot with him for his brand easy going. I first met Shun when I just moved to San Francisco in 2016. I just got into shooting in film at that time and I wanted to meet people that shoot films as well. I was on Instagram and I came across his page and I asked him if he wants to shoot together sometimes. Since then we went on a few photo walks, explored cool coffee shops, and even made a zine together!
Shun just launched his brand easy going earlier this month and I'm honored enough to shoot a little video and photos with him in his really really nice hoodie. It was warm and cute and so so soft (I didn't want to take it off!) I was honestly so nervous because I'm so used to standing behind the camera but not so much in front of it. Although it was so windy and cold that day (i'm sure you can tell because my hair was literally everywhere) and I was so awkward. It was really fun and I think it's nice to get out of my comfort zone to try out new things like this.
All of the photos were shot on 35mm and Shun played with color gels, double exposure, and even acrylic prisms to reflect the lights! It was such a fun day and I think I would definitely want to do something like this again soon. Shun studies at the School of Cinema in San Francisco State University. He designed the logo, shoot and edited the video by himself. If you're interested in how he manages to do all that- make sure you check him out and give him a follow!
